Business Development Manager - West Florida

Essential Functions:
- Identify clients/pursuits, initiate contact and target potential BD opportunities in Tampa/West Florida market. Create implementation strategies/processes to build, grow and sustain long-term business relationships
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts and contact information within and outside of the company and track and manage database through company CR
- Represent the company by maintaining memberships and actively participating in industry and community organizations and events. Personify our brand of professionalism, responsiveness and integrity
- Define current and anticipated market conditions and participate in long range planning and goal setting Provide weekly progress reports
- Provide Go/No Go and proposal and presentation activities, if needed
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies, etc.
- Satisfactory completion of appropriate corporate training as related to the position and/or department.
- Contributes to overall achievement by accomplishing related tasks and demonstrating characteristics that exemplify team building and support.
Requirement & Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in Tampa area in business development or sales. AEC industry experience preferred.
- High-energy, self-motivated, sense of urgency, diligent, organized, collaborative Works well independently as well as an adaptable team-player
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Impeccable speaking, grammar and writing skills are required
- Effective networking skills with the ability to develop business and build relationships Strong internal/external customer focus
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Cosential CRM a plus
- Position requires flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed. Regional and occasional outside region travel is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field
